About

Pocket Playbook started as a group chat between three friends who kept sending each other screenshots of levels we couldn't beat. At some point we realized the advice we were trading was better than half the stuff we found online, so we put it on a website.

Everything here comes from playing. Nobody on the team writes a guide for a game they haven't installed and pushed for at least a few hours. If a mechanic is confusing, we say so. If a level is unfair, we say that too.,We cover a mix of genres on purpose. Some weeks we're deep in a turn-based RPG, other weeks we're grinding lap times in a racing game. Variety keeps the writing fresh and it means there's usually something for whatever you happen to be playing right now.,We pick games based on what's actually getting downloaded and talked about, plus the odd hidden gem someone on the team falls in love with. No sponsor decides our list. If a game is popular but boring, we'll tell you that instead of pretending otherwise.,The goal is simple: get you unstuck and back to having fun. No fifteen-minute videos, no padding. Just the parts that matter, written by people who hit the same wall you did.
